Dewey's pragmatism and the new school in Colombia

"The New School" supported by ihe active pedagogy, has a vast repercussion on education ai ihe enlarging cover level M Colombia, from renewing of teaching methods and diversification for job training. Notwithstanding, ihe most radical propositions ofjohn Dewey, as toform in a scientific and phüosophical pragmatic rationality, in laical education, and in a social liberal democracy, they seem disrupted by ihe fear and ihe social repercussions ofmodernity and modernization, specially in the religious catholic ambit.
