Antonio García Nossa. Latin American thinker

Abstract

The present paper pretends to show some fundamental aspects of the life and work of the latinamerican thinker, born in Colombia, Antonio Garcia Nossa. First of all, some biographical data from the master are given and the multifaced of his thought. Some opinions are presented of some important contemporary personalities from him, about his importance of his work. Then, a brief tour is made through his main lines of thoght, identified in the works: contributions to a latinamerica theory of development, independent interpretation of the history and reality of latinamerican, study of the agro latinamerican problems and the alternatives of solution, proposals of a future society, etc. It is concluded by showing that the intellectual puirpose of the master García was the creation of an independent thought and that here is concerned about a Colombian child. Unfortunatelly ignored by the present generations of intellectuals.
