Research on research itself: shaping a conceptual model and an it solution, in a state of the art for a program of tertiary education

Abstract

This essay deals with the research process followed in the construction of the state of the art of knowledge, from a hermeneutic perspective in its stages: description, interpretation and construction of meaning.

After contextualizing the topic of this research on research itself from different meaningful productions for the academic community, an understanding of this has been reached: research on the state of the art produces new knowledge and fosters the construction of original productions, thus limiting the reproduction of foreign materials. This research also allows discrete constructions to advance and be surpassed, which in some cases ignore reality. With these developments the researchers of the research group “constructing educational community” set up the goal of developing the project “state of the art of research”, in the program “Industrial Administration” of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). At that time 1986-2002, the constant dialogue between the conceptual model suggested and the design of the IT solution, represented added value, which is a source of reference and impact of the program on the environment.
